This is my favorite time of year. Football Season. This weekend I will have two draft parties at my house. One on Friday and the other on Saturday. Both will start at 7pm and go till about 11:30. Last year I was horrible but I am coming back this year as strong as ever. My team name is THUMPER, started using that name when ever I played games and needed a good name. Plan on doing some major "thumping" this year.
I will be the Commissioner for two leagues this year. Seahawks Domain and Seahawks Domain Keeper. I'll will keep you updated on how I am doing. Just in case your really don't care. :)
Well I am jumping back on the Blog wagon. I have been running crazy the last few weeks and have not had a chance to sit and blog. Speaking and running kids camps has consumed my time this summer. I am amazed it is August. I have one more week of camp to speak at in Southern Oregon and then my summer will be complete. I then have to gear up for my September speaking schedule which has me speaking every weekend at churches and a few classes at Northwest Univeristy.
I say this every the end of every summer but I will say it again this summer with more determination. I am not going to book myself so busy next summer. Tiffany says we need a summer to work on the yard and next summer is it.
I am having a great time in Arizona. It has not been has hot as I thought it was going to be. I guess I am in the higher elevation so it is pretty nice. We even had some rain today so that was great. I Love kids camp. It is so awesome to see God work in kids lives. Here a couple of things I prayed with kids about so far.
1. Girls favorite cousin died of a drug overdose and she was angry at God because of it.
2. A boy wanted me to pray with him because he gets nervous when he tells his friends about Jesus.
3. Girl was afraid of what her friends were going to think of her now that she was a Christ-follower
4. One child was scared of a certain man and called him a monster. We had a very good and long talk. Then we prayed. They said they are going to whisper the name of Jesus over and over when ever they get scared of this person.
I did make one stupid mistake tonight. I was telling my three stories of Peter and I accidently said during altar time that Peter waited for the Holy Spirit for 120 days. OOOOOOPS it was 120 people that were in the upper room. I am going to tell the kids that tomorrow.
I hate when I make a mistake but I am thankful that God can use us anyway. I am looking forward to speaking at Fairwood's camp starting on this coming Sunday.
